As we continue in our series on change we have reached a vital point.  It is now time to talk about how we are in a world of constant change and how we need to change our approach (not message) to keep up.  Isn’t it great to know we have a God and Savior that NEVER CHANGES! The bible lets us know that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.(Heb 13:8) ” There is such comfort in knowing that our God is unchanging.  He doesn’t change because He is GOD.  He is the creator of everything, the beginning and the end.  He is everything!

It is soothing to know our God doesn’t change because even when we are unfaithful He is still faithful because he cannot deny himself.  Even when He is disappointed with us, He still keeps his promises.  In Malachi 3:6 God lets the Israelites know how grateful we should be that God doesn’t change when he says this, “I the LORD do not change.  So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.”  When God makes a promise He fulfills it.  When He says He will be just, you better believe He will be just.

When He loves, He loves like nothing you’ve experienced.  After all, God’s love is also unchanging and nothing can separate us from it!  “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8: 35-39 NIV)”.   Join us Sunday at 10am as we delve deeper in to this wonderful thought of our Lord who is the same today as He was yesterday, and will be FOREVER!
