God’s Handiwork: Created to do Good Works

10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. – Ephesians 2:10

Isn’t it amazing to think that God created us in Christ Jesus? That we were created to do His work, that we were created to do amazing things. Now lets think about that for a minute, it is as if we are created to do some supernatural things. Supernatural could be forgiving people, who don’t deserve it, or loving those who are unlovable, or serving those who are outcast… When we start to look into the possibilities of how we do this, we can often get lost in our thoughts and think it is impossible to do this kind of work, and I would completely agree, or at least agree when we try to do these things alone. However, God created us to do good works and has given us a spirit to dwell within us to help us along this journey of bringing glory to God through our submission to Him through our service to others. Join us this Sunday as we start a series entitled “ The Handiwork of God” where we will start with understanding that we were created to do good things, not for us but for the purpose of serving God and others.
